This position is currently hybrid ~ At least one day/week in office.
Salary: $48,000-$50,000 USD Annually
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Position Title: Business Partner Associate of Member Relations, Economic Mobility Exchange
Supervisor: Director of Member Relations
General Summary of Duties:
EMPath manages a learning network, the Economic Mobility Exchange (“Exchange”). The Exchange is comprised of 145+ organizations and government agencies from around the world interested in learning about and implementing EMPath’s Mobility Mentoring® approach and tools used to support low-income families and individuals in their goal to become economically self-sufficient. The Associate Member Relations will be responsible for supporting the Exchange and activities within, developing and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of member organizations, outreach, facilitating trainings and helping to continuously evolve the model.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and manage relationships with a portfolio of member organizations;
Support members in learning about Mobility Mentoring, implementing and strengthening the model in their work;
Respond to inquiries from prospective members and others interested in EMPath’s work;
Contribute to and support opportunities (e.g. via subgroups, e-newsletters, webinars, summits, convenings, trainings, etc.) designed to share and disseminate research, learnings and resources amongst network members;
Feedback knowledge and insights gained from working with members and outside partners to core operations managers, in order to continue to evolve models and practices;
Participate in internal quality improvement and cross-departmental innovation initiatives (i.e. sub-committees, learning teams, etc.);
Co-facilitate EMPath trainings, workshops, and presentations in-person, remote, and/or online via EMPath’s learning management system Engage@EMPath;
Represent EMPath at conferences, webinars, external meetings, and other events to market and outreach, disseminate learning, research, and create opportunities;
Research best practices, and support tool development, to support and advance economic mobility for low-income households;
Other related research, administrative, and development duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g. social work, human services, public health, sociology, psychology, education, public administration) and lived experience considered
Understanding of trauma-informed models, Motivational Interviewing practices, EMPath’s Mobility Mentoring® model desirable
Experience providing technical assistance and/or consultation to nonprofit organizations desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with diverse populations, low-income communities, or youth serving organizations
Ability to be culturally aware and respectful when working in various settings and communities represented by learning network membership
Excellent team building, collaboration skills; the ability to influence at a variety of professional levels
Experience in a fast-paced innovative environment
Experience and comfort in public presentations
Excellent project management skills
Working Conditions:
Position includes walking, sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Work may be stressful at times. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and participants. Ability to travel around Boston in personal car or public transit.
