Overview:

The Core Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the application needs of internal customers and the Technology team and actively prioritizes requests to ensure needs are met. Identifies and documents user requirements to ensure that business problems can be solved with available applications and, if not, actively pursues alternative applications and/or business process improvements.
Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Implements projects related to OnPoint’s Core and Technology systems.
Acts as liaison between internal customers and the DBA team to create business requirement documentation for report requests. Provides suggestions on feedback on feasibility, changes and timelines.
Consults with internal business partners to identify process improvement and development opportunities.
Supports in the scope, design and oversight of the application development efforts involving internal as well as third party development partners.
Aids in the development and execution of test plans, including risk analysis, test cases and coordination of testing activities, bug tracking and resolution.
Creates and maintains documentation related to Core System applications functionality, defects and road map.
Works with internal customers and the Technology team to implement application changes, improvements, and revisions to ensure short and long-term business objectives are achieved.
Researches and recommends new uses or processes of existing /new technologies and applications.
Responsible for implementing XP2 Releases, patches and product enhancements.
Subject Matter expert for schedule operations, documentation of processes. Maintains and enhances schedule automation.
Provides technical assistance on appropriate methods and procedures to solve workflow issues.
Maintains effective communication with OnPoint management, staff and branches.
Performs other duties as assigned, including backup of other Technology team members as needed.
Participate in systems / technology requirement gathering sessions for systems integration, updates, and configuration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Broad knowledge of banking principles and applicable regulatory controls.
Excellent knowledge of banking related software applications.
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks, both long and short term, simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment.
Ability to identify deficient processes/procedures and to develop and implement solutions.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including possible evening and weekend hours.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as outside vendors/contacts.
Ability to quickly learn additional software applications as needed to support business needs.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience, preferred
Prior experience in a financial institution preferred
Understanding of the software development life cycle a plus
Prior experience with eSign Plus, Nautilus, Fiserv DNA, and/or IMM desirable
Prior experience with SQL
